A SPOOKY STORY 1 & SPOOKY STORY 2

Let me start this email with a spooky story.
So like, 5 weeks ago we had all the boys up in the church parkinglot, which is also a soccer court. and you know what we were doing??? we were playing soccer! and it was a great time. there were us 4 missionaries from chaves, and about 4 investigators, and a few members. we ussually play on fridays. and we played so good. and then! javier kicked the ball really high! and it went so high and it kept going and going! and it went right over the fence! and so we were like, oh noo, it went into the spooky neighbor´s yard. There is a guy behind the church who does freakky stuff. he has a collection of cow skulls. like, lots and lots of cow skulls, i´m not joking. on the other side of the wall of the church there is a big pile of cow skulls.
So, we get our team together and three of us go back behind the wall to look for the ball, and it´s night time. and we saw a lot of spooky stuff back there. I have some pictures, imagine this stuff, but at night! and we are like, "what the heck is that stuff" spooky. and it was like, pretty close to halloween when this happened too. i think it was before halloween. During the same night we kicked two more balls back there, and we went back again to look for them but we didn´t find them. one of the kids said "that is which craft, don´t touch it, it´s bad to touch it." some people have said that this is witch craft, and some people have said that it´s just a cowboy who has unusual decorations. There is a lot of witchcraft in mexico, so it wouldn´t suprise me if this was actually witchcraft, but i have no idea what real witchcraft looks like.
later me and elder librado went back to look for the balls and i took some pictures.
anyway there it is. it´s probably not anything, but it was spooky crawling around there at night looking for the soccer balls.
I know that most people in the states don´t believe in ghosts or witches or stuff like that. but most people in mexico do believe in that. I believe that some of that exists. I´ve heard a lot of stories here in mexico and a lot of very trust worthy, sane people have told me their experiences. but i have a very strong testimony of the power of the priesthood. The priesthood is a very real authority. The priesthood, for those who don´t know, is the authority, or permission, that god gives to his servants to act in his name. It´s like how a king might authorize one of his servants to deliver a message, to direct a group of people, or to sign a contract. God gives his authority to his servants. And we have the authority to command in the name of christ. A book of mormon prophet said "and our faith becometh unshaken, insomuch that we truly can command in the name of Jesus and the very trees obey us, or the mountains, or the waves of the sea." (jacob 4:6)

It´s an incredible claim that we have, to say that we possess the authoriy of God. but it´s true! I am a witness to many occasions that i have seen God´s power work through his authorized servants. wow yeah, i have seen it all my life, and here on the mission i continue to see it.

anyway, here are more spooky photos.
