good evening from mexico

it´s been a wild week. i´ve felt the hand of god a lot in this work. and in our companionship. Elder librado is from acapulco guerrero. he likes soccer. i will be honest. i will tell you all the horrible truth. Elder Librado is not very obedient. i don´t know much what to say to you guys. I love this area. i feel like i love everyone here. really good people. good investigators, good members. this is a great area.  we played futbol today. it was a lot of fun. i played with my glasses on and they broke again. they broke down the middle a while ago and i just glued them together. every once in a while they fall off and break and i glue them back together again. we´ve had some success this week. !oh! i know what i´ll tell you guys about. We have one investigator, a mom with two kids who i love with all my heart. she and her kids went to church this week. but the crazy part is that i met her in durango! in my last area. and we taught her a bit and then she disapeared and

new cambio

well i´m hoping this cambio goes well. i´m still here in nuevo linarex, my new comp is elder librado. he is from acapulco guerreo.  i´m just kind of seeing how things go here. i´ll tell you guys how it goes next week. we have a lot of work here. lots of potential in this area that´s elder lugo. i love that guy. would have been my comp. also i thought it was funny that there was a sign in the bathroom telling people to please put their toliet paper in the toliet, because a lot of people just throw it away. grooss. love yall

wow here i am

wow here i am man i´m kind of bummed out. the zone leaders just called us with some goofy news. we had cambios yesterday and everthing went really well and elder lugo came with me and just now we got the call and they told us that we are going to have emergency cambios. Elder Lugo is going to durango, and another elder is coming down here. elder librado. it´s just like what happened to me 6 months ago. last week me and elder quiroz celebrated the birthday of brayan. he was so so happy. we bought him a cake and some marbles and wrote him a card. i don´t think he had ever had a birthday like that before. he seemed so grateful and that was really satisfying. because he didn´t expect it at all. This week we have to prepare everthing for the baptism of brayan. i´m a little stressed about it because we don´t have that much time and with cambios and emergency cambios it´s a little bit complicated.  love you guys. we didn´t have time to write yesterday because of cambios so the

chancho quest

Image
chancho is a pig.  this week we had interviews with president and we saw general conference and we participated in a chancho quest! i say chancho quest because on monday the district came up with the idea of killing a pig to celebrate the going home of elder brian. and so we spent the whole week looking for a suitable pig that wouldn´t be that expensive. we only wanted a little pig, we found many pig venders, but no one wanted to sell us their little pigs, they only wanted to sell us their big pigs, but those are way expensive and so in the end we bought 7 kilos of pig meat and had a big bbq for just the six of us. i learned how to make guacamole and ate really well. it was a lot of fun.  Conference was pretty rad. it´s always a great experience in the mission to go to conference. I think the talk that stood out to me the most was the talk about the ropes with elder bednar, i think that rope principle is a really powerful idea in teaching, showing people how the gospel is

( This was something I included in my letter to my mission president about one of our investigators. he responded simply, typo included , " Thank you for sharing these experiences. They will change you life forever. ") Brayan is a 14 year old kid who is really really smart and listens really well and understands everything we teach him. This week we were teaching him about the plan of salvation, and when we told him about the celestial kingdom, his face lit up and he said "just thinking about seeing God one day makes me feel so good, I can´t wait, that will be so cool." and then we taught him that His baptism will help him qualify for the celestial kingdom, and his face lit up again, like he really understood the importance of baptism. He asked us "When will I get baptized??" Those are really cool moments in teaching, where the spirit teaches people so clearly and they understand the truth. Brayan is a really good kid.
