hey chillings

it´s been a week and a half lemme just tel ya
This week me and elder parra have struggled. but we have also seen some radical blessings.
All typos are intentional.
the struggles

man, we just havn´t been on our game this week. if that makes sence. like, man, i have been sooooo tired. and we have really strugglied to get our studies in. i think that has made us tired and less patient. elder parra even told me, "elder, this week has been so rough because we haven´t had the spirit as much, we need to study". And we have been struggling to get our studies in because of musical practices and intercambios that were getting in the way of our normal schedule and just throwing us way off. and then on top of that i started to feel discouraged about my performance as a missionary, like oh fetch do i speak panish well? am i an efective missionary? am i good at helping people? these kinds of doubts started to enter my mind and just don´t serve any purpose. Not a fan of negitave thinking.

the blessin´s
There were blessings! and they are goodn´s.

preface to daniel, Iris

This week we have been trying to organize the ward to help one of our investigators feed her family. she is dirt poor and really struggling to feed her kids. we couldn´t get any immediate help from the ward so on saturday we brought those kiddn´s a little bit of our food.

Daniel
man this dang guy is a big teddy bear. This guy stregthened my testimony that god prepares people and that every person has their time. And god is really really patient. Daniel left the church when he was like 18 or something. He got married and had kids, his wife got baptized but he never returned to church. we went to his house on saturday and he just cried and told us that he was finally ready to make some changes and come back to church. The spirit was very strong. Before we left, he was so grateful for the visit that he gave us a kilo of beef and some money for buses. I don´t know how he knew that we needed that, if he hadn´t helped us out we would have ran out of money yesterday, and i feel like it was a direct result of the help that we gave hna iris. Christ says, "even as you do it to the least of these my bretheren, ye have done it unto me" And he blesses those who bless others. Daniel went to church yesterday with his family. He hadn´t been in a mormon church in 14 years.

Estrella
Yesterday in the chuch a family came for the first time, a member had invited them, and we talked to them and found out that their 15 year old daughter was planning on moving out that very night to go live with her 17 year old boyfriend. We were pretty alarmed by that and set an appointment to see them in the night before she moved out. We talked to her for about an hour and conviced her not to do it. That might seem like a small thing, but i felt really good about what we had done. I knew that we had saved this chick from all kinds of trouble and her future kids too. She was not ready to have a family with this punk, she didn´t even know if he loved her. She was just 15 years old and confused. That was a cool thing that we were able to acomplish this week.

oh man one more struggle that i just thought of
this fetching guy, fransisco. we found him saturday night and he was drinking but he didn´t seem that drunk. and he talked to us and he said he wanted to go to church and stop drining and change his life so that his wife would take him back. he asked us if we could pass for him to take him to church, we agreed. And we thought, man what a blessing, finding this guy. And so the next morning we take a taxi all the way up to his dang rancho, we took a taxi because we were running late and couldn´t find a bus. and the taxi was pretty expensive actually, and we get all the way up there and he´s there! and we are like wow this guy wasn´t kidding, he does want to change. and we walk with him for like fifteen minutes to the bus stop. and we get to the bus stop and we are waiting, and a bus pulls up, that is not our bus, and the bus driver yells something at our investigator, and he just gets up and jumps in the bus and they drive away.
And me and elder parra are just left speechless. what a guy. I still don´t understand.

okay well i love alll of you forever and i wish you all a dang good happy week.

Elder Grilliot
