good evening from mexico

it´s been a wild week. i´ve felt the hand of god a lot in this work. and in our companionship. Elder librado is from acapulco guerrero. he likes soccer. i will be honest. i will tell you all the horrible truth. Elder Librado is not very obedient.

i don´t know much what to say to you guys. I love this area. i feel like i love everyone here. really good people. good investigators, good members. this is a great area.
we played futbol today. it was a lot of fun. i played with my glasses on and they broke again. they broke down the middle a while ago and i just glued them together. every once in a while they fall off and break and i glue them back together again.

we´ve had some success this week. !oh!
i know what i´ll tell you guys about. We have one investigator, a mom with two kids who i love with all my heart. she and her kids went to church this week. but the crazy part is that i met her in durango! in my last area. and we taught her a bit and then she disapeared and we called her and she said that she had some problems with her husband and moved to torreon. and like, my second day here in chaves i saw her in the super market! and now we are teaching her and slowly she is progressing.
Also! we have a whole bunch of young kids that we are teaching. Javier and his friend gerardo, brayan and benjamin. javier was baptized when he was nine, he is 16 now, and he moved here to chaves from juarez and we found him and invited him to church and he started getting really involved! he is such a good guy. he recieved the priesthood yesterday. his uncle came from juarez to give him the preisthood. javier is a missionary too. his friend gerardo is really excited to go with his friend to church and is really funny and wants to be a part of the church and change his life! and benjamin is new, but he was sitting outside of the church in his truck one night and he looked at the church and he said to his uncle, "ya know, i think i want to go to that church." like, something just struck him where he wanted to attend our church! wow! what a miracle, his uncle is a friend of a member and the member gave us the referal.
also i think about the moreno family, jose manuel and his kids, that´s the family of javier. they aren´t members, he is the only member in his family. They are struggling a bit. It´s hard for them to adjust to this new life, going to church, not smoking, it´s hard for them. but they have testimonies and they want to be good.
I love this area and these people. Man i want them to have good lives and be happy. I don´t care how long it takes. I don´t care if i´m here to see them baptized or what. I just want to see them safe on the gospel path.

love you guys
elder grilliot
